Kawasaki Vulcan carburator jets and related parts Common jetting suggestions from SCP Performance
VN800 with aftermarket pipes and airbox Main jet: 170, 168, 165. (We use
the 168 in most applications).
Slow jet or pilot jet: 50 with an adjustable
needle, 52 with non adjustable needle.
You can run a stock needle with one shim or we prefer when available a 1500 adjustable needle on the 3rd clip to be used
in the 800 carburator.
VN1500's with single carburator with aftermarket pipes and airbox:
168, 170 main jets.
Use a 46 pilot jet or a slow jet. We reccommend not to use
an adjustable needle in the 1500 single carburated application.
The stock
needle will give you the performance and fuel mileage that you desire.
